Walt Disney World’s 3rd park Hollywood Studios , formally MGM Studios, opened its gates May 1, 1989 and is your one stop for everything movies. Hollywood Studios is the park that has seen the most changes, with the addition of Sunset Boulevard , Toy Story Land and lastly Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The park is set up in 8 different areas or “lands” surrounding the famous Chinese Theater.

Enjoy everything you love about Hollywood Studios but after it closes. This Special-Ticketed Event is a must if you want to feel like a true Hollywood V.I.P. The limited number of tickets create parks that almost feel empty with hardly any lines to be found, which is perfect for anybody who loves riding lots of attractions.

Disney Jollywood Nights
This is BRAND NEW to Hollywood Studios.
This is a specially ticketed event that includes a special holiday-themed nighttime show, music, characters, and more.
- Festive welcome to Disney Jollywood Nights with a DJ spinning holiday tunes
- Experience a lively Latin Street Fair on Commissary Lane
- Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy host a live holiday special at Theater of the Stars
- Hyperion Theater hosts a spirited Nightmare Before Christmas sing-along, complete with special guests appearances by Jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie.
- Access to favorite rides and coasters.
- Holiday-themed Magic Shots, 2 new PhotoPass experiences – and the best part, PhotoPass photos captured during the event are included with the price of your ticket
- Meet Disney characters including Mickey and Minnie and the rest of the gang in Animation Courtyard and Powerline Max, Phineas and Ferb at Echo Lake, and Edna Mode and other super friends at Pixar Place.

- Encounter glitz and glamour at two limited-capacity entertainment experiences: Jazz lounge at The Hollywood Brown Derby and an Other-worldly soiree at The Hollywood Tower Hotel Courtyard where the area will be transformed into the Tip Top Lounge referenced on the ride, complete with immersive 1920’s theming, a ghostly band, crafted cocktails, and custom food.
- Wrap up the night with the return of “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” nighttime spectacular with music, fireworks, special effects, and projections

While inside Savi’s you truly feel as if you are living the life of a Jedi or Sith (if you prefer the Dark Side).The lightsabers constructed here are built with unusual parts, whimsical pieces, and miscellaneous memorabilia collected by the Gatherers from the far reaches of the galaxy.
There are 4 themes to chose from:
- Peace and Justice,
- Power and Control
- Elemental Nature
- Protection and Defense
Then it’s time to pick your Kyber crystals, they are the heart of the lightsaber and what gives each one its distinctive color.
You’ll have 4 different colors to choose from:
- Blue: like that of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Rey
- Green: like that of Qui-Gon Jinn, Ahsoka Tano, Luke Skywalker, and Yoda
- Violet: like that of Mace Windu
- Red: like that of Darth Maul, Darth Vader, Asajj Ventress, and Kylo Ren
The parts of your lightsaber that you’ll be customizing are:
- Sleeve
- Emitter
- Pommel cap
- Activation plate and switch
Then the lightsaber are then put in a special slot where the blade will be magically attached. Then watch watch the darkened room light up with everyone’s custom Lightsabers. Everyone get a padded caring case to take home this unique souvenir.

One thing at the Black Spire Outpost where both young and young-at-heart Star Wars fans can experience a bit of the Star Wars fun, is Droid Depot.
You have 3 different types of droids you can chose from.
- R-series (like R2-D2)
- BB-series (like BB-8)
- C Series (like Chopper)
After you decide on what type you want to build then its off to the conveyor belt full of parts. There are instructions and graphics at each station showing you exactly what to look for. Each droid is built with 4-5 pieces that come in a variety of color.
After you have all of your parts selected, you’ll be directed to an assembly station where there are plenty of Cast Members to lend a helping hand.
After assembly its now time to activate. Once activated you prepare for transport. All droids come with a box and there are backpacks for sale (They are nice and sturdy) .
If you want to take your droid to the next level there are personality chips, decals and accessories in the gift shops for purchase. The chips include droid sounds and the capability to interact in the park. The bluetooth technology inside the droids do allow them to react to their environment and other droids.
Now its time to travel the galaxy with your new companion.
