Walt Disney World’s 3rd park Hollywood Studios , formally MGM Studios, opened its gates May 1, 1989 and is your one stop for everything movies. Hollywood Studios is the park that has seen the most changes, with the addition of Sunset Boulevard , Toy Story Land and lastly Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The park is set up in 8 different areas or “lands” surrounding the famous Chinese Theater.

While inside Savi’s you truly feel as if you are living the life of a Jedi or Sith (if you prefer the Dark Side).The lightsabers constructed here are built with unusual parts, whimsical pieces, and miscellaneous memorabilia collected by the Gatherers from the far reaches of the galaxy.

Then it’s time to pick your Kyber crystals, they are the heart of the lightsaber and what gives each one its distinctive color.

Then the lightsaber are then put in a special slot where the blade will be magically attached. Then watch watch the darkened room light up with everyone’s custom Lightsabers. Everyone get a padded caring case to take home this unique souvenir.

One thing at the Black Spire Outpost where both young and young-at-heart Star Wars fans can experience a bit of the Star Wars fun, is Droid Depot.
You have 3 different types of droids you can chose from.
After you decide on what type you want to build then its off to the conveyor belt full of parts. There are instructions and graphics at each station showing you exactly what to look for. Each droid is built with 4-5 pieces that come in a variety of color.
After you have all of your parts selected, you’ll be directed to an assembly station where there are plenty of Cast Members to lend a helping hand.
After assembly its now time to activate. Once activated you prepare for transport. All droids come with a box and there are backpacks for sale (They are nice and sturdy) .
If you want to take your droid to the next level there are personality chips, decals and accessories in the gift shops for purchase. The chips include droid sounds and the capability to interact in the park. The bluetooth technology inside the droids do allow them to react to their environment and other droids.
